Active virus control

The Active Virus Control feature is an innovative technology that monitors all actions of applications on the process level as long as they are running on your PC.

This feature is running in the background without causing noticeable strain to your computer system.

Warning icon When the Active Virus Control feature is turned on, make sure you are not running another software having real-time protection and process monitoring components. The two programs running together may adversely affect your system performance.

To adjust the Active Virus Control feature, open the Real-Time Protection dialog first:

1. On the left navigation menu, select the Real-Time Protection option. The Real-Time Protection dialog opens.

Real-Time Protection window

By default, the Active Virus Control feature is enabled. Single click the slider to switch between two positions. The green color stands for Enabled, which means that the Active Virus Control security service is active and fully functional. The grey color represents the Disabled status, i.e. the service is deactivated. If you do not have a good reason to deactivate the service, we strictly recommend that you keep the Active Virus Control feature turned on.

Any threat detected by the Active Virus Control feature is recorded in the Detection History.
